Kirkland Wednesday Market
When: June–September, 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Location & Directions: Marina Park
This vibrant weekly market brings local farmers and artisans to Marina Park on Lake Washington. The Market features an array of ready-to-eat food, produce, flowers, berries, fruit, jewelry, fish, meats, cheeses, honey, and handmade goods.
Juanita Friday Market
When: June–September, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Location & Directions: Juanita Beach Park
Located at the spacious Juanita Beach Park, the Kirkland Friday Market offers delicious locally grown fruits, fresh produce, beautiful flowers and handmade crafts. Special guests are featured in the community booth and there is live music all summer long.
Kirkland Summer Concert Series
The Children’s Concerts series on Tuesday mornings is one of the only child-themed concert series in the area.
On Thursday evenings, watch the sunset over Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains while enjoying a picnic in the park complemented by toe-tapping music at the Evening Concerts.
Carillon Point Outdoor Movie Nights
Watch the sunset over Lake Washington followed by an Outdoor Movie at Carillon Point Plaza. Come early, set up a chair, unfurl your blanket, then relax and enjoy the entertainment.
July Summer Events and Festivals in Kirkland
Celebrate Kirkland 4th of July Parade, Picnic and Fireworks
When: various times, 4th of July
Where: various locations
Join in the fun at Kirkland’s annual Fourth of July celebration featuring a “decorate to celebrate” event for kids at Marina Park Pavilion, followed by a parade, live music, Rotary Duck Dash and a picnic. The evening finishes off with a fantastic fireworks display over Marina Park with viewing from Kirkland’s bountiful waterfront parks.
Enjoy this regional showcase of art, food, and wine on the picturesque shores of Lake Washington. The festival features wines from world-class Washington wineries, bite-sized feasts from notable Eastside restaurants, and appearances from the Northwest’s most prestigious celebrity chefs and culinary personalities.
Kirkland Classic Car Show
The 12th Annual Kirkland Classic Car Show, presented by Kirkland Downtown Association and hosted by Legends Car Club, is one of the largest car show events on the Eastside. More than 600 hot rods and classic cars will be parked along Marina Park and downtown Kirkland. Free.
August Summer Events and Festivals in Kirkland
Kirkland Summerfest transforms Kirkland’s Marina Park and downtown core into a lively arts destination with music, dancing, street performances, and family entertainment. Food trucks and a beverage garden round out the attractions. See website for times and locations of activities. Food and beverage available for purchase; admission is free.
Junior Softball World Series
The Junior Softball World Series returns to Kirkland July 29 – Aug. 4, when teams from around the world compete in the weeklong championship series. Opening Day begins Sunday, Aug. 10. Championship playoffs will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, broadcast by ESPN.
September Summer Events and Festivals in Kirkland
Ever wanted to know what it was like to sail on the high seas? Ask the crew while you tour the majestic tall ships when they dock at Carillon Point this summer. Public tours and sailings offered throughout the weekend.
All-Porsche Grand Display
This display of all things Porsche includes sports cars, Panamera sedans, Cayenne SUVs, Tractor diesel models, clothing, sporting equipment, drivers’ collection, memorabilia, and more.
Kirkland Oktoberfest is the Eastside’s fall tradition on the waterfront—a three-day celebration of the harvest season with plenty of beer, bratwurst, music, games, contests, costumes and more.
